When you decide to invest your career in Martin Marietta, you'll know what it's like to be respected, challenged and rewarded. What to expect: Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Production Supervisor for its underground/surface mine, and sand & gravel locations based out of Kokomo, Indiana. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for assisting in managing all safety, operational, financial, environmental and personnel duties for the plant in accordance with company programs, policies, and guidelines as well as government agencies. A typical day for a Production Supervisor may include:Training and development of the team, scheduling, performance management and effective leadership of the hourly workforce Successfully leading and managing to production, safety, quality, employee development and environmental objectives and metrics Performing all activities in accordance with the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values, and in compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures and Code of Ethical Business Conduct.   You may be a good fit if you have:         A bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work/military experience           2+ years of experience in underground aggregate operations, strongly preferred        Minimum 1-year supervisory experience in a mining environment, preferred         The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing        Proficiency with a computer and Microsoft Office programs and other similar programsPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
