Quanex is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Night Shift team located in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
 

In this position, you will be responsible for directing and motivating employees to achieve department goals of quality, production, safety, and continuous improvement.  Responsible for production flow and resolution of matters that occur within the department.

What Success Looks Like: 

Drives the company’s safety culture Achieves divisional objectives and promotes teamwork by working with other peers, subordinates, and all levels of management. Champions a culture of continuous improvement. Executes operational plans to meet departmental and plant goals in Safety, Quality, On-Time delivery, productivity, and cost efficiency. Identifies, analyzes and acts to correct bottlenecks, product defect rates, safety hazards and maintenance problems. Counsels, motivates and instructs departmental personnel in machine operation and concerns through daily interaction. Proactively presents ideas and information concisely and clearly in both oral and written form. Works effectively with peers and all levels of management to achieve divisional objectives and promote teamwork. Maintains documentation to support all department activities Operates various types of production equipment as required.

What You Bring: 

5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience with at least 3 years working in a leadership capacity High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, complex, dynamic business environment. Demonstrated strong leadership, team building, coaching and the ability to build a culture and motivate people is required.

The salary range for the position is $62K to $85K commensurate with experience and with bonus potential.
