We are seeking a Night Production Supervisor within our spinning team in St. Louis, MO.
Our Membrane Solutions facility produces hollow fiber membrane on fiber spinning lines and assembles air separators ranging from 1” to 8” in diameter. Operations covered include material handling, chemical handling, autonomous maintenance, process sampling and data collection, and mechanical operations related to separator assembly. The position has broad responsibility for all aspects of operations with accountabilities for safety, quality, productivity, training, employee happiness and development, and employee relations. The right candidate is an individual with strong leadership abilities coupled with a good mechanical aptitude; strong organizational, planning, interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills are essential to the position.
Responsibilities:Completing required activities and demonstrating leadership in the Basic Safety Process (BSP)
Coordinating with other Supervisors and managers on production schedules and goals
Coordinating night shift work team scheduling and job assignments
Consistently and fairly applying plant policies and rules
Supporting work teams to ensure that quality and productivity goals are met
Setting performance expectations and coaching to get results
Presenting issues and information to work teams, team leads, and other Supervisors/Managers
Finding opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
Leading and participating in continuous improvement activities
Commitment to safety and the environment
The ability to work collaboratively across the business to perform supervisory responsibilities with minimum direction from management
Qualifications:Associates degree in a related industry or previous work experience is preferred,
A minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing and supervisory experience,
Strong face-to-face and written communication skills (Candidate must communicate effectively with operators, maintenance personnel, technical support personnel, management, and others),
Strong troubleshooting skills,
Experience in hollow fiber spinning and/or separator assembly is preferred, but not required,
Strong drive to improve operational execution and maintain high work standards
Excellent attention to detail,
A strong safety focus, with a full understanding of the applicability of Government EHS regulations and the Company’s Global EHS policies and procedures to the facility and workers,
Knowledge of quality systems and the requirements of ISO 9001–2015 and how they apply to production processes is helpful
