Manage the daily production related to KPI’s for singular shift. Support a strong employee culture through the reinforcement of Latham’s Core Values. Duties and Responsibilities: + Supervise operations to ensure positive labor efficiency and variance through proper usage of personnel + Follow company safety policies and programs to promote a safety-first culture throughout the facility + Maintain high level of quality throughout the manufacturing process + Responsible for production, meeting daily schedule to insure on time delivery while minimizing overtime + Maintain a high level of quality by doing regular inspections of products + Utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements to solve the problems. + Submit reports on performance and progress to direct manager + Communicate job expectations, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees + Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (Safety, EEO, Sexual Harassment, Quality, etc.) + Participates in the hiring, training and review process of production employees. + Monitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required up to the termination + Facilitate daily shift meetings + Other duties as assigned Qualifications: + Minimum of Associate degree with experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred. + Minimum 7+ years of experience in manufacturing/engineering related function + Required – Proficiency with all MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) + Experience with payroll systems is a plus + Ability to read blueprints + Must be able to work overtime when necessary, including extended hours or weekends + Strong verbal and written communication skills- ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization + Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience desired + Good understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations + Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions + Exceptional leadership skills with a sense of urgency and strong aptitude + Ability to develop, maintain and motivate a strong team + Ability to solve practical problems and difficult situations + Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand; walk; bend; use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms, prolonged sitting, repetitive computer use, ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly + Bilingual preferred
