As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of converting production. In this role you will communicate performance expectations to shift workers, ensure production targets and metrics are met to achieve production demands, supervise machine productivity and quality, and manage personnel daily. You will work in a collaborative work environment and coordinate production operations and maintain effective quality procedures and safety regulations. Enforce plant safety regulations and encourage employees to become safety-consciousManage manufacturing employees to include performance reviews and disciplinary actions Make recommendations to improve safety, environmental and health of the entire facilityManage the day-to-day operations of the shift with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and costMonitor production activities to eliminate waste and ensure adherence to production and shipping scheduleWork with other team members to control and improve efficiencies, minimize labor overtime, downtime and repair expenses Control load factors and workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment
What you need to succeed:
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with 3 to 4 years of related experienceProven experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain 2+ years of supervisory experience in a corrugated packaging manufacturing environment is preferredExcellent communication and listening skills Proven track record of effective problem-solvingAbility to embrace continuous improvement Strong collaboration and teaming skills with stakeholders across functionsAbility to coach and train employees Ability to be an on-shift resource for troubleshooting problems in the process as well as maintenance issues Ability to make independent, effective decisionsPossess ability to be a self-directed team player Flexibility to work multiple shifts Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma)Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, ability to learn new software applicationsProven successful track record in managing, motivating and building teamsWhat we offer:
