How will you contribute:
You will support our internal administration systems; collaborating with Platform Reliability Engineers and Engineering Squads to uncover difficulties and find opportunities to improve the overall experience. You flourish with delivering resilient and scalable applications for continuous delivery and operational insight. Creativity in solving problems is your strength. You are always learning by using new tools and technologies.
Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate solutions to issues; improve on current technical strategies and solutions.
Provide solutions to system or business-initiated questions.
Provide development for IT inspired change requests (non-functional).
Handle production systems and addressing system alerts.
Monitor and handle incoming Jira requests / Emails and handle Batch Job Alerts.
Manage Devo/New Relic/CWLA Alerts.
Provide support and coordination of infrastructure changes.
Investigate root cause and work towards elimination of production interruptions.
Liaise with other Manulife teams and vendors for production incident handling.
Recommend areas of improvement to infrastructure, application, and/or processes to prevent or mitigate future failures.
Be responsible for overall system availability and response times.
Review current software framework to identify defects and opportunities to improve performance and stability.
Participate in on-call support rotation.
Promote agile principles and methodologies.
Participate in conceptualization and brainstorming sessions to devise creative and innovative digital solutions.
Constantly learning from success and failures.
Takes ownership of operational & support activities.
Work with technical teams to understand and accept releases via handover to support and influence/support customer priorities.
Skills and Experience:
Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
C#, SQL Programming, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, ASP.Net, Soap Services and WCF.
GitHub, NuGet, Artifactory, Jenkins, JIRA.
Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure (i.e site outages).
Analytical and Self-learner.
Good communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to document clearly and accurately.
Excellent team collaborator to contribute ideas and foster team learning.
We work with a Site Reliability Approach. Preference if you have a good understanding or experience with monitoring tools including New Relic, Dynatrace, PRTG, Moogsoft.

HybridSalary range is expected to be between

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
