You Are:

The Production Support Engineer – UI Development for WA TAP is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of user interface components within the WA TAP system. This role involves resolving production incidents, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with development and backend teams to enhance system functionality. The engineer will also support deployments, troubleshoot API and UI issues, and ensure the UI's responsiveness, accessibility, and performance.

 

The Opportunity:

·       Develop and maintain the user interface for the WA TAP system using Angular and React frameworks, ensuring a responsive and user-friendly experience.

·       Implement and troubleshoot API calls to connect the UI with backend services, ensuring smooth data flow and system functionality.

·       Perform basic SQL queries to validate data, debug issues, and ensure the accuracy of information displayed on the UI.

·       Diagnose and resolve UI-related issues, including performance glitches, rendering problems, and integration challenges, utilizing basic Java knowledge where necessary.

·       Work closely with backend developers to align API functionality with UI requirements, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

·       Identify and implement strategies to optimize UI performance, focusing on load times, rendering efficiency, and responsiveness.

·       Support deployment of UI components, ensuring smooth integration with backend systems and maintaining system stability during updates.

·       Address and resolve production incidents related to the UI, providing timely communication and resolution to minimize user impact.

·       Ensure UI development adheres to organizational coding standards, accessibility guidelines, and best practices for design and usability.

·       Create and maintain documentation for UI workflows, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices to support team collaboration and knowledge transfer.

What You Need:

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

·       4+ years of experience in UI development and production support, with expertise in managing and maintaining web applications in a production environment.

·       Proficiency in Angular and React frameworks, with strong skills in building and troubleshooting dynamic, responsive user interfaces.

·       Experience with API integration and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.

·       Basic SQL knowledge, with the ability to write, debug, and optimize queries for validating and supporting UI-related data needs.

·       Understanding of Java programming, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic Java-related issues that impact UI functionality.

·       Hands-on experience with debugging and performance tools to optimize UI load times and responsiveness.

·       Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve UI issues efficiently in a production environment.

·       Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and frameworks, ensuring effective resolution of production incidents.

·       Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for UI development, accessibility, and design.

·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with backend teams, stakeholders, and end-users to address technical issues and implement improvements.

·       Experience in incident management and deployment support, including post-deployment validation and issue resolution.

·       Documentation expertise, creating and maintaining guides and best practices for UI troubleshooting and enhancements.

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range: $81,000-$123,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
