You Are:

As a Production Support Specialist with a focus on Unit Testing, Requirements Gathering, and Scrum Master responsibilities, the primary role will be to ensure the stability and performance of production systems while supporting the full application lifecycle. This includes identifying and addressing production issues, performing unit testing for new features and fixes, gathering detailed business requirements, and applying Agile Scrum methodologies for effective project delivery.

 

The Opportunity:

·       Develop and execute unit tests to verify the functionality and stability of code before it is deployed to production.

·       Work closely with the development team to ensure that unit tests are comprehensive, covering all critical paths and edge cases.

·       Analyze and resolve issues found during testing, logging defects and tracking them to resolution.

·       Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect, understand, and document business requirements.

·       Work as a liaison between the business and technical teams to ensure all requirements are clear, complete, and feasible for implementation.

·       Translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories that can be prioritized and implemented in development cycles.

·       Lead the Scrum team, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.

·       Ensure that Scrum principles are followed and the team is productive, removing blockers and ensuring progress on key initiatives.

·       Act as a servant leader to the team, helping to foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.

·       Use SQL for data validation during unit testing and to analyze test data and issues in production environments.

·       Write efficient queries for testing database operations, ensuring data integrity and correctness.

·       Document requirements, test cases, and progress on tasks in Confluence to keep stakeholders informed and facilitate communication.

·       Use Confluence for tracking and organizing sprint retrospectives, meeting notes, and project status updates.

·       Perform user interface (UI) testing to ensure that the application's front-end meets business requirements and is free of defects.

·       Use tools like Selenium or similar for automated UI testing, ensuring that the user experience is seamless and functional.

 

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What You Need:

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

·       3+ years of experience in production support, with a focus on unit testing, requirements gathering, and Scrum methodology.

·       Strong knowledge of SQL for performing data validation during testing and analyzing data in production.

·       Ability to write complex queries and optimize them for efficient performance.

·       Hands-on experience with UI testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).

·       Ability to test user interfaces for responsiveness, functionality, and accessibility.

·       Expertise in using Confluence for creating, sharing, and organizing documentation, including business requirements, user stories, and test cases.

·       Proven ability to serve as a Scrum Master, facilitating Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).

·       Proficiency in tracking progress and removing blockers to help teams deliver on-time.

·       Ability to troubleshoot production issues and resolve them quickly with minimal escalation.

·       Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.

·       Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and document requirements and updates in an accessible manner.

·       Proficiency in using Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).

·       Understanding of web applications, including front-end and back-end technologies, with an ability to provide support for production environments.

·       Desirable Skills:

·       Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure) and experience with cloud-native application support and scaling.

·       Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools for CI/CD pipeline management

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range: $81,000-$123,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
