Production Support Specialist

Job Description

Our client located in Scarborough, Ontario, is seeking a Production Support Specialist.

This will be a day shift position (8 hour per day)

Pay rate- $24-30/hr.

Starting: ASAP

This is a Temporary to Permanent position

RESPONSIBIITIES:

Provide operational support. Responsible for assembly design and details for ongoing projects. Review designs and drawings for accuracy, thoroughness and adherence to scope of work. Create work orders for jobs based on open orders. Establish Bill of Material (BOM) and kit hardware as required. Work closely with operations Manager, supervisor and programmer to facilitate weekly production targets. Provide technical problem-solving skills to quality related issues. Provide engineering support to production team, including assembly design and details for ongoing projects. Communicate with customers for technical support as needed. Conduct investigations of deviations and non-conformances. Learn program software to provide back-up support in programming for laser and CNC turret punch press. Report to Operations Manager. RequirementsDiploma Mechanical Engineering/Design preferred. Sheet metal fabrication experience required3-5 years. Programming experience preferred not required. 3-5 years previous job experience preferred. Proficient in Solid Works and Microsoft Office Possess strong understanding of Manufacturing process. Read and interpret technical blue prints / drawings. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Detail oriented. Problem solver. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with co-workers and/or customers. Self-starter Occasional Saturdays
