Production Team Leader - 2nd Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Ensure Quality Standards are met
2. Setup and run all machines or lead processes for a specific department 

Knowledge of Machine Operation, cleanliness, and preventative maintenance
4. Efficient machine setups and run times
5. Knowledge of and troubleshooting skills of machine operations to include feeding, printing/inks, die cutting, stacking/feeder sections of machines Direct employees with instructions to help them achieve daily, weekly, monthly goals
7. Monitor daily KPI’s and work with employees/operators on continuous improvements to improve machine setup times, run speeds, and waste percentages
8. Some knowledge of repairing cutting dies such as changing rule, rubber, and embossing
9. Enforce all safety and housekeeping standards
10. Troubleshoot problems with a logical thinking process
11. Assist in training / certification of all production positions

QUALIFICATIONS Strong communication, problem solving, organizational and delegation skills, ability to read a tape measure, at least five (5) years minimum combined machine, die cutting and printing experience. Skilled & certified to drive forklift. Possess basic computer skills and proficient user of our ERP system. Previous leadership experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Lifting / carrying up to 25 pounds required with more occasionally lifting/carrying of 1-20 pounds. The job requires reaching above shoulders, reaching below waist and knee, and at waist level, kneeling, squatting, and climbing stairs on rare occasions. Occasional hand/wrist work, keyboarding and mousing, power grasping, and pushing/pulling materials. More frequent walking left and right-hand work and simple grasping and constantly standing on feet for extended periods of time. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT Employee must wear protective glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE assigned by tasks. The plant and warehouse areas can be chilly in the winter (above freezing) and hot in the summer (non-air conditioned).  The plant is generally clean of debris and clutter, but the manufacturing process generates a fair amount of corrugated dust.  Position may require overtime including possible weekends. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
