Production Team Leader

The Production Team Lead will be responsible for all metrics of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and people development for a production area across shifts. Demonstrate your ability to lead a winning team and manage the daily manufacturing operations of lines or shifts to ensure that the manufacturing plan is executed in a manner that meets or exceeds quality and cost objectives.

What You Will Do:

Lead a team at the Ellwood City, PA Plant.Ensure the location is in compliance with all internal and external standards and legislation.Recommend and implement measures to improve departmental productivity and efficiencies, product quality, methods and working conditions so that downtime is minimized through the use of teamwork and TPM/continuous improvement principles including leading autonomous management activities.Manage relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.Ensure the Quality System is followed and that products produced meet specifications.Partner with internal plant and external Ecolab contacts (Quality, Logistics, Planning, and regulatory agencies) to proactively avoid quality, environmental and service issues.Provide formal and informal reporting on plant performance and issues. Directs and provides resources for production operations.  Sets production and maintenance priorities and determines manning requirements to meet production schedules.  Responsible for housekeeping and 5s standards in all production areas.Responsible for team safety including observing and ensuring safe work practices, equipment monitoring, accident and near-miss investigations, and daily toolbox meetings.Coordinates with Production Planner.  Coordinates all rework and relabel opportunities.Communicates production status with Production Manager and Production Planner.  Directs yard driver to assist in maintaining production schedule.Assists in accomplishment of site materials management goals, including service level, value and quantity of off spec material.Responsible for environmental monitoring including dike drainage, operation within permits, and waste minimization.  Communicates environmental incidents and works under advisement of SH&E Manager.Maintains productivity through coaching, development of team members’ skills, performance feedback, managing downtime, and making manning adjustments.  Also defines operation priorities for lab technicians and implements second pass adjustments, with appropriate communication to minimize future occurrence.Schedules and tracks overtime and vacations for the hourly production employees.Responsible for coordinating shift start-up and shutdown of plant operations, and for collecting/Reviewing the appropriate checklists. Supports and is committed to the Ellwood City Plant safety, health, environmental, security and quality principles.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma.4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environmentTwo years leadership experienceImmigration Sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or ChemistryExperience in production supervisionExperience in quality control in a chemical manufacturing environmentTPM experienceProven interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsProficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Experience with Microsoft Power Suite (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Teams, SharePoint)Experience with SAP
