Production Team Leader
**Job Title: Production Team Leader** **Job Description** As a Production Team Leader, you will coordinate activities of production workers and support supervisors during the week. You will eventually assume the role of the main leader for weekends when supervisors are not on shift. This role involves managing a team of approximately 10 workers and ensuring that production schedules and quality standards are met. **Responsibilities** + Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations. + Ensure all policies and procedures are followed by all, and actions for non-compliance are fair, consistent, and timely. + Interpret specifications and job orders to workers and assign duties of 10 to 12 workers in Molding. + Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. + Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. + Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency. + Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems. + Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. + Maintain time and production records. + Assist the supervisor in the evaluation of team performance reviews, ensuring all reviews are fair, consistent, and timely. + Assist the supervisor in setting clear and consistent performance expectations and help instill a culture of accountability. + Coach and develop team members for potential promotion within the organization. + Assist the supervisor with performance-related issues within the assigned shift. + Act as a main liaison between other support departments (QA, Maintenance, and Materials). + Promote safety in the workplace, follow all safety rules, and recognize and correct unsafe work conditions. + Work mandatory overtime as required. The regular schedule for this position exceeds eight hours per day, 40 hours per week. + Follow all work rules and policies. + Perform other activities and tasks assigned by the production supervisor as needed. **Essential Skills** + Experience in production management and team supervision. + Knowledge of molding machines and safety protocols. + Proficiency in quality control and operational management. + Ability to interpret and enforce company policies and procedures. + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. + Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency in operating a computer and printer. + Ability to use small tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pry bars, pliers, and calipers. + Capability to read and set various gauges and scales. + Competence in using a scanner for inventory purposes. + Strong language skills to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Mathematical skills to perform basic arithmetic and understand rates, ratios, and percentages. + Reasoning ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions and handle problems involving several concrete variables. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a direct placement opportunity, providing stability and growth within the organization. This role requires standing, walking, talking, and hearing regularly, with frequent use of hands to handle or feel objects, reach with arms, and occasional climbing, balancing, sitting, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, squatting, or crawling. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Grandview, Missouri. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $49920.00/yr.
