Job Title: Production Tech - Machine Shop
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Tech to join our machine shop team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines and sheet metal fabrication equipment to produce precision parts. You will work with technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining, monitor machine operations, and perform quality control checks. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

ResponsibilitiesOperate and set up CNC machines to produce precision parts.Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining.Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment including shears, presses, and brakes.Perform tasks such as cutting, bending, and forming sheet metal components.Ensure all fabricated parts meet quality standards and specifications.Perform routine maintenance on CNC and sheet metal fabrication equipment.Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.Coordinate with the maintenance team for complex repairs and servicing.Inspect machined and fabricated parts to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality checks.Document and report any discrepancies or non-conformances.Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety in the workplace.Assist in developing and improving machining processes and techniques.Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines.Provide support to other machine shop personnel as needed.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines and/or sheet metal fabrication equipment.Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.Familiarity with CNC programming and G-code is a plus.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is highly desirable.Certification in machining or related field is preferred.Experience with CNC Mills-loading and unloading.Experience with press brakes, water cutters, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.68 - $28.68/hr.
