Production Technician 1 - Indianola, IA
This is an hourly, full-time position.
Position Summary:Engage in facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Ensure smooth production operation during shift.Job Responsibilities:Work with compliance to all applicable OSHA, EPA, and ADM health and safety work
practices, production and material handling procedures Maintains an attitude that accidents are preventableDiscusses any safety concerns with supervisor throughout the shift Job RequirementsPerform routine maintenance on equipment.Determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.Determine causes of operating errors and provide solutions.Use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Determine tools and equipment required to complete job.Repair equipment using proper tools.Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).Observe gauges, dial or other indicators to make certain the machine is working properly.Ensure a clean and safe work area.Maintain tools and equipment to prevent introduction of foreign materials into production equipment of finished productsConduct tests and inspections of products, services and processes to check quality and performance.Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to OSHAContribute to company-wide strategic planning effortsOther duties as assigned Education and Experience Preferences:High School Diploma or GED preferred with 3-5 years related experience and/or training.Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Technical Skills:Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery. Computer; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Physical and Environmental Demand:Ability to lift, push, pull 50+ lbs. Will also require standing, walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pullingWork is performed in a non-climate control factory.Work environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel toe work boots, hard hats and any other protective gear. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. ADM requires the successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
