Job Overview:

The Global Hydrogen division of Linde. is currently seeking a Production Technician for our HyCO Production Facility in Barberton, OH. The facility produces carbon monoxide via Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) technology.

This positionrequires a combination of office work and field workas well as working outdoors in various weather conditions and working rotating shifts and weekends if needed, along with call-ins, will involve some overnight travel for training and working at other locations if required.

Under the routine direction of supervision, you will be responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in a production environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Qualifyonall plantoperationsStartup and shutdown of processequipmentCorrectly and safely permitting maintenanceworkUse established procedures and assist in modifying procedures asrequiredReading and interpreting Electrical Schematics, PID's, and One Line DiagramsHave a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft Projects)Monitoring and adjusting equipment and plant process operatingparametersCorrectly performing valve line-ups, preparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out-tag-outMonitor and maintain proper water chemistry onsiteResponsibilities require 8-hour shift rotation, on-call periods, scheduled/unscheduledovertime and working alone.Effectively communicating with our customers and suppliers whenrequiredPerform routine and non-routine maintenance activitiesCalibration checks of plant equipment and instrumentation Troubleshooting equipment and processabnormalitiesAssist facility in supporting process training efforts, PSM and environmental compliance documentation as well as maintenance activities associated with plant operations.
