We seek a Production Technician based in Ann Arbor, MI, for our Production Department. In this position, you will be trained on all aspects of the department to meet the quality and safety aspects of production and work independently to meet customer expectations.

What you will accomplish together with us:

You will be a general technologist for manufacturing processes involved in one (or possibly more) of the company’s product lines, such as microcarriers or particle/validation standards.You will learn detailed step-by-step ISO work instructions and execute “batch processing” of customer deliverables under the close supervision of trainers, supervisors, and/or QA staff.You will be involved in fabricating microcarriers or particle standards per ISO procedures and work instructions.In this role, you will assist with general laboratory procedures such as sample collection and solution preparation.Your tasks will include operating equipment associated with product processes following all relevant safety guidelines.You will be responsible for cleaning and validating equipment and vessels used in manufacturing procedures and will assist with cleaning room “scrubbing” following approved protocols.Records data on product routers and other documentation according to approved procedures.You will monitor processes, record, interpret results, and provide feedback or suggestions for improving work instructions, product processes, or ergonomics.In this role, as required, you may assist with inventory control functions, equipment maintenance, and calibration records.Realize the production rates given by the team leader.Realize and control all production operations with the requested quality while respecting performance constraints and requirements (safety, security, and environment).Know and respect the safety rules related to equipment and people.Ensure the cleanliness and permanent storage of the work environment.Complies with all site policies, such as record retention and ISO requirements, and is accountable for good housekeeping in all laboratories.Complies with special clean room and site safety/health procedures and guidelines as required.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary.Assist other team members and the site management team with miscellaneous duties when requested.
