Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands… As the Production Technician for the Global Solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to become a valuable member of our Operations team, making a genuine, positive impact in the lives of our customers. Reporting to the Operations Director , you will prepare, configure and test electronic key/locker hardware and software systems to meet customer work order specifications and quality standards . What you will do… + Prepare, configure & test electronic key/locker hardware and software systems to meet customer work order specification and quality standards using hand and electrical tools. + Work order administration and management via web-based ERP & CRM software. + Inventory management of key and locker cabinet hardware and spare parts. + RMA process management and warranty hardware repairs. + Documentation & reporting of all quality issues in-line with quality assurance processes. + Uphold Traka USA’s outstanding reputation for delivering superior customer service to retain market edge over competitor products and services. + Troubleshoot electronic system circuitry and cabling using basic electrical technician tools, e.g. digital multi- meter. + PCB level assembly, troubleshooting and repair involving soldering. + Install and configure firmware applications on control system hardware. + Install and configure software on test computers and servers. + Program key/locker hardware network interface for use on TCP/IP networks. + Pack and arrange shipping of all key/locker cabinet and spare part work orders. + Monthly stock-take involving count & re-conciliation of inventory items – working closely with the finance team. + Maintain detailed service and equipment records. + Technical support coverage to end users as required. What we expect of you… + Technical or manufacturing qualification/certification or equivalent workplace experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for this position. + Excellent work ethic, dedication and ability to work in a team. + Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. + Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems. + Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. + Knowledge of computer networks desirable + Interest in technology and innovation desirable. + Ability to work individually, unsupervised, and as part of a team. + Ability to follow operational procedures and work to strict project deadlines. + Experience in a technical or manufacturing position is desirable. + Forklift experience a plus. Physical Requirements… + Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. + Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach. + Ability to reach with hands and arms. + Ability to lift, push and pull up to 100 lbs regularly. + Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours per day + Ability to load and unload trucks as require.
