Job Overview:
The Linde Production Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of an Air Separation Process at our plant in Phoenix, AZ. This is a challenging and rewarding job that requires the employee to have problem-solving capabilities in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and production processes.
Production Technicians must demonstrate initiative and self-motivation and be able to work with minimal supervision. Will be responsible for a variety of complex operations and production duties in an ISO/FDA/QA air separation environment where products include oxygen, nitrogen and argon. This position requires a combination of office work and field work. Responsibilities require 12 hour shift rotation with scheduled overtime. Working extended hours and/or weekends, holidays and call-ins may be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitors equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as set-ups, calibrations, troubleshooting, and product testing. Must know when to call other specialists when more serious malfunctions occur.Startup, shut down and operate production equipment as necessary.Plan and execute operations and maintenance tasks for assigned plant(s) including lock-out tag-out, correctly and safely permitting maintenance workPurchasing of materials and/or services such as contractorsMonthly plant billing, documentation, reports, and other administrative dutiesThe candidates will operate the plants from computer. Repair and diagnostic troubleshooting required.Job requires working outdoors year-round, climbing 200’ tall columns, some heavy lifting, using man-lifts and fork-lifts.
