**Job Title: Production Tech**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Production Tech to efficiently operate a slitter machine used in processing steel coils of aluminum for gutter production. The role involves setting up and adjusting the machine with the correct product dimensions, loading aluminum coils, inspecting for defects, and moving processed aluminum to the next step in the manufacturing process.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate slitter machine used to process steel coils of aluminum.
+ Set up and adjust machine with correct product dimensions.
+ Load aluminum coils on the machine.
+ Inspect aluminum coils for defects.
+ Move processed aluminum to the next step in the manufacturing process, typically an inventory location.
+ Stand for most of the shift during machine operation.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to do basic math and read a tape measure.
+ Experience in general labor, production, and inspection.
+ Familiarity with industrial machine operating.
+ Attention to detail
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with metal processing, slitter machines, and roll forming machines is a plus.
+ Machine troubleshooting and maintenance experience is a plus.
+ Self-starter

**Work Environment**
Work in an open bay manufacturing warehouse that is clean and organized, though non-climate controlled with temperatures ranging from 80-100 degrees Fahrenheit. You will work with 5-10 team members, and the dress code requires pants, closed-toe shoes, and eye protection. Note that cellphones are not allowed on the floor.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clearwater, Florida.
