Production Technician
**Job Title: Production Technician** **Location:** Palm Beach Gardens, FL **Pay Rate:** $18-21/HR **Shifts:** + 1st Shift: 5:30 am - 4:00 pm + 2nd Shift: 3:30 pm - 2:00 am **Top Skills - Must Haves:** + Mechanical skills + 6 months of sandblasting experience + Experience with painting and coating (helpful) + Sanding experience (helpful) + Mechanically inclined, willing to work with hand and power tools **Secondary Skills - Nice to Haves:** + Sandblaster + Sandblasting + Spray gun + Spray paint + Heat treat + Heat treating + Coating + Spray painter + Machine operating + Grinding + Blast + Sandblast + Paint prep + Drilling + Blasting + Painter + Powder coating + Powder coat **Job Description:** + Visually inspect serial numbers and part conditions to verify acceptability + Interpret findings from inspection documentation and react according to procedures + Track and manage tooling and consumable inventories + Perform liquid and tape masking on components using various tools and equipment according to WI/Drawings to maintain coating allowances + Perform manual and robotic pre-process grit blasting for thermal spray on components according to specifications and interpret results + Utilize precision measuring equipment to check work and record in an electronic database + Conduct in-process inspection of own work and others' work before part movement to the next operation + Operate controls on atmospheric and vacuum furnaces under direct supervision, load and unload own work + Understand loading configurations and AMS2750 requirements for furnaces and job aides + Assist operators in setting up equipment and maintaining tooling + Operate small cranes and forklifts to move equipment, parts, and material + Data entry/confirmation of required quality documentation + Report and monitor abnormal production time per production step + Independently carry out assigned technician work and correct non-conforming hardware during the reconditioning process where applicable + Minimal experience in thermal spray booth operations under direct supervision + Train entry-level technicians for coating prep, braze, and heat treatment + Set up and install brazing equipment according to process requirements + Execute brazing requirements on gas turbine components as per technical specifications for joining and putty braze + Experience with grinding and blasting of components for braze preparation according to specifications + Advise and/or participate in the design and fabrication of brazing tools and fixtures as required **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or GED equivalent + 2+ years of manufacturing experience with specific skills in grinding, blending coatings, coatings application, coatings removal (strip line), blasting, heat treat, machining, or welding + 2+ years of experience interpreting technical drawings or work instructions + 2+ years of experience in a production or maintenance environment + Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes + Basic knowledge of MS Office programs, SAP, timekeeping applications, and folder structures + Experience with manufacturing, assembly, auto body repairs, fiberglass, woodworking, and spray booth operation **Employee Value Proposition (EVP):** + Growth opportunities with promotions from within + Great pay and increases + Team environment and great culture + Temp-to-perm opportunity with benefits available after 90 days **Work Environment:** + Warehouse environment with air conditioning + Must have steel-toe shoes rated by ASTM F 2413-05 or ANSI Z41-1999 with I/C (Impact/compression), EH (electrical hazard), and SD (Static Dissipative) protection + Very organized and clean manufacturing facility + Rotation between different departments to gain various skills **Company Benefits:** + Medical, dental & vision + Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital + 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available + Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) + Short and long-term disability + Health Spending Account (HSA) + Transportation benefits + Employee Assistance Program + Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
