Job Description:

Visually inspect serial numbers and part conditions to verify acceptabilityInterpret findings from inspection documentation and react according to proceduresTrack and manage tooling and consumable inventoriesPerform liquid and tape masking on components using various tools and equipment according to WI/Drawings to maintain coating allowancesPerform manual and robotic pre-process grit blasting for thermal spray on components according to specifications and interpret resultsUtilize precision measuring equipment to check work and record in an electronic databaseConduct in-process inspection of own work and others' work before part movement to the next operationOperate controls on atmospheric and vacuum furnaces under direct supervision, load and unload own workUnderstand loading configurations and AMS2750 requirements for furnaces and job aidesAssist operators in setting up equipment and maintaining toolingOperate small cranes and forklifts to move equipment, parts, and materialData entry/confirmation of required quality documentationReport and monitor abnormal production time per production stepIndependently carry out assigned technician work and correct non-conforming hardware during the reconditioning process where applicableMinimal experience in thermal spray booth operations under direct supervisionTrain entry-level technicians for coating prep, braze, and heat treatmentSet up and install brazing equipment according to process requirementsExecute brazing requirements on gas turbine components as per technical specifications for joining and putty brazeExperience with grinding and blasting of components for braze preparation according to specificationsAdvise and/or participate in the design and fabrication of brazing tools and fixtures as required

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent2+ years of manufacturing experience with specific skills in grinding, blending coatings, coatings application, coatings removal (strip line), blasting, heat treat, machining, or welding2+ years of experience interpreting technical drawings or work instructions2+ years of experience in a production or maintenance environmentComprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processesBasic knowledge of MS Office programs, SAP, timekeeping applications, and folder structuresExperience with manufacturing, assembly, auto body repairs, fiberglass, woodworking, and spray booth operation

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
