OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking to welcome a new team member within our Production team into the role of PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN. You’ll work as part of our highly skilled, friendly and customer focussed Production team to assemble and test our filters which protect and connect people around the world. This is a shift-based role working earlies and lates on alternate weeks.
You’ll do this by completing responsibilities to:
Assemble, inspect, precision parts to build filters. To do this using specification sheets, production and engineering drawings and following work instructions to complete assigned tasks for each filter process within required timeframes. Making precision adjustments and modifications using microscopes, scalpels and other small hand tools to manipulate tuning screens, filing, grinding, deburring and cutting, to meet amplitude and frequency ranges. Recording and taking data from analysers and other equipment to enable test equipment to be calibrated. Fault finding, highlighting and where able resolving product issues and errors ensuring quality standards are maintained.
To be successful, you are or ideally have the following skills:
Confident and organised and wanting to learn our processes, how they work and what you’ll need to do to achieve the right standard. Patient and methodical in putting things together and when necessary, tinkering/adjusting them to get the right result. Someone who enjoys problem solving, finding faults and suggesting solutions. Experience of working in an engineering or manufacturing environment, meaning you can work to exacting standards and design. Have a high attention to detail, combined with a passion for tidiness in your work area! Enjoy making positive teamwork contributions to our highly motivated Production teams, delivering continuous improvement and meeting targets.
Previous experience in these responsibilities is advantageous, but we’re also interested in people keen to learn and who want to contribute to a growing company. Full training is provided.
