Production Technician
**Job Title: Production Technician** **Pay:** $18.00-$22.00/hr. (based on experience) **Shift:** 1st Shift **Location:** Tonawanda, NY **Job Description** In support of the Company’s primary and single most important objective, which is to get and keep profitable customers, this individual is responsible for manufacturing ceramic products. Successes of the position are measured via the following key indicators: working safely and meeting all environmental standards of OSHA and employer, producing a high-quality product, meeting and/or exceeding efficiency rates defined by job specifications, inspecting, maintaining, and trouble-shooting product and equipment to ensure non-conformances are identified and communicated appropriately throughout the process, maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized work area, and completing and submitting paperwork timely and accurately. **Responsibilities** + Comply with all company policies, work, and safety rules. + Follow instructions for manufacturing processes. + Report safety and quality concerns when observed. + Maintain equipment as directed by manager. + Maintain accurate batching and production records. + Provide production training to new and existing employees. + Communicate with coworkers as needed and supervisors to receive instructions and coordinate activities. + Exercise multi-tasking skills throughout the shift to achieve optimum shop efficiency. + Follow other job-related instructions and perform other tasks as requested. + Be punctual and properly prepared to work. + Other work may be required by management. **Essential Skills** + General production experience + Hand tool experience (wrench, hammer, etc.) + Packing experience + Forklift operation (training can be supplied) + Heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds consistently) + At least 2 years of consistent work history + Production experience (assembly, machine operating, warehouse) + Mechanical aptitude (blueprint reading experience) + High School Diploma or GED + Basic math skills + Good communication skills—verbal and written **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with general labor and assembly + Ability to follow safety and quality standards + Willingness to provide training to new employees **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits package. The rest of the shop is not climate-controlled. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
