Production Technician III - 1st Shift
Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position will primarily consist of performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment as required and performing routine maintenance on equipment.  This may include installing equipment, performing testing on equipment, making adjustments and repairs to equipment and troubleshooting.

Essential Functions:

Make repairs and perform preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipmentAbility to use hand and power tools and repair as neededTroubleshoot issues on equipment to efficiently repair or replace problems to include component level replacement.Perform PLC Programming and troubleshoot carton routing system issuesLocate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation: listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instrumentsIdentify, remove, repair or replace defective parts and plan for corrective preventionMaintains equipment, parts and supplies/inventories and order as neededMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures. Train aspects and processes of safetyPerform routine maintenance around the buildings such as fixing structural damageAssist in the Maintenance of HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facilityOperates all types of powered industrial vehicles, including boom lift and sweeper/scrubber.  Basic troubleshooting requiredWork in non-climatically controlled environment throughout the yearAbility to read and understand a Safety Data SheetMust be able to read and comprehend work requests and be able to communicate well with othersGeneral understanding of the fire system, react, troubleshoot, and notify management of issues

Other Responsibilities

Repair broken or leaking plumbing and restore full use of water fixtures to include running new plumbingLocate and review outside vendors workAdheres to facility hours to include overtime and weekendsMaintains positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environmentOversee small projects where direction may need to be given to team members

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work in high elevations with the use of Personal Protective Equipment as requiredMust be 18 years of ageMust be able to wear steel toe shoesMust be able to lift up to 70 lbs.Refer to Physical Demand Analysis (PDA) for complete physical requirements

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Proficient in the use of PC’s.Work flexible hours and overtime as requested4+  years maintenance experience in a warehouse or similar field2 year degree or equivalent in Maintenance roleDemonstrated ability to complete tasks with no direction, and self-assign new taskAbove average communication and interpersonal skillsSkilled in use of all hand and power toolsMust pass a company paid drug screenAllen Bradley PLC Programming Experience preferred1 year of HVAC preferred2 years of carpentry preferredMust possess a valid Missouri state driver’s licenseMust pass a company paid drug screenMust be able to lift up to 70 lbsMust have above average understanding of Plumbing, Carpentry, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Painting and Electrical skillsMust have above exceptional mechanical repair experiencePossess good oral and written communication skillsReading and basic understanding math requiredMust have a team player mindset.Must have excellent attendance, excellent job performance reviews, and a clean safety record.Knowledge of OSHA 10 preferredMust have a Safety Mindset with focus on accident avoidance
