The Seed Plant Treating and Packaging Department Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the seed treating and packaging department. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to established processes, procedures, and quality standards, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Accountabilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the seed treating and packaging technicians, ensuring efficient and timely completion of tasks.Monitor and maintain adherence to established processes, procedures, and workflows within the department.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and promote a culture of safety among the team.Conduct regular quality checks and audits to maintain high standards in seed treatment and packaging operations.Provide training, guidance, and support to technicians, fostering their skill development and knowledge enhancement.Collaborate with other department Lead Technicians and managers to align operations and resolve any issues or conflicts.Manage inventory levels, material requirements, and equipment maintenance for the department.Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.Company Description

Qualifications
Proven experience in a Lead Technician or leadership role, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.Solid understanding of seed treatment and packaging processes, equipment, and quality standards is desired.Familiarity with HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) standards and regulations.Proficiency in relevant computer systems and software applications.Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.Flexibility to work overtime and adapt to changing operational needs.Adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
