Baxter Compounding in Oxford is looking for Production Technicians in our TPN department (Total Parenteral Nutrition) who are keen to join us in helping saving and sustaining the lives of our patients by manufacturing essential life supporting products. The ideal candidate will have very good attention to detail and will be keen to start a career in the pharmaceutical industry, as full training will be provided.

This is a full-time, permanent position for the Baxter site in Oxford. The role will be mainly based in TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition unit) department, where operators will be working in grade B and C environments. Occasionally, operators might be rotated to work in grade D compounding room as well as assembly and labelling areas.

The working hours will beMonday to Friday - 10am-6pm with occasional 7am-3pm shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To assemble raw materials and ingredients for compounding sterile products

To manufacture live saving products in accordance to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) manually and using a compounder

To assist in the preparation of sterile products, their labelling, packaging and dispatch

To replenish stock and rotate stock

To perform visual inspection of finished products

Ensure a high quality of service to the customer and adhere to Health and Safety requirements and company procedures

To perform and record all cleaning for the equipment, areas of work and supplies as and when required as defined in the relevant SOP’s andin accordance with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice

Ensure adequate and appropriate stocks of equipment and supplies

Perform pre-compounding, compounding and post-compounding checks.

Qualifications and Experience

GCSE or equivalent, including English & Mathematics

Good oral/written communication

High attention to detail
