The Production Technologies team is responsible for day-to-day Enterprise Technology Services solutions. The team collaborates with production/broadcast teams and creative groups with the guidance from the manager to ensure the broadcast / media engineering workflows are up and functional, manage hardware of control rooms as well as end user devices and provide onsite support for Disney Global Network infrastructure. The teams support the daily operations of media, live show productions and broadcast/screaming of products through various distribution channels. The teams also engage in gathering new system/network operational requirements, assemble plans for completing and implementing a design, document and execute on that plan to meet the ever-changing technology requirements of studio environment.
The team members are required to have knowledge of media production workflows, keep abreast of new broadcast technologies and methodologies that aid in the productivity and reliability of the content production workflows and have excellent technical and interpersonal skills and the commitment to supporting Disney values and the success.
This role will manage DC3 Production Technologies team to ensure quality service and operational performance and provide regular updates/feedback to the Sr Manager.
What you will do:
As production technologies manager, this role will oversee daily service and support operations for multiple business groups at DC3. This position will be working closely with leaders from multiple business groups (Production Ops, Broadcast Ops, Media engineering and Owned Stations), strategize projects and coordinate changes to ensure disruption free broadcast environment. This position will perform analysis, evaluation, architect and implementation of enterprise solutions such as Workflow implementation, LAN/WAN infrastructure, Wireless Infrastructure, Cloud Applications supporting creative/business processes and operations with the guidance of Sr Manager of Production & Creative Technology Ops. This manager will ensure engineered and implemented solutions and processes are aligned with Enterprise Technology standards, priorities and goals.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Proven track record managing service operation.Minimum 7 years of experience as Desktop Engineer including image creation/build, OS installation/troubleshooting, and application packagingMinimum 3 years of experience managing IT service operationExperience with Windows OSs, and various versions of Microsoft Office including latest. Image build and deployment experience Application packaging techniques Emphasis on sharing of knowledge through good communications, peer training, and written documentationAbility to work independently without intensive oversight Must be a go-getter and take initiative on a regular basis finding ways to avoid problems proactively rather than just fixing them after the factInitiative and ability to research problems independently and find root causesPositive customer service and team attitude Focused on quality, organized, committed to continual improvement Discipline to adhere to formal system lifecycle methodologyCompetency with Casper/SCCM and/or JAMF technologiesPreferred Qualifications:
