Production (Thermal Tech) DAYS

 

Thermal Technician performs manufacturing duties for new or existing products according to standardized procedures and/or established work instructions. This includes equipment setup and operation, execution of the daily production plan, minor maintenance functions, quality inspections, execution of EHS checks and reporting, and WCM/continuous improvement project execution. Reports to Production Supervisor, dotted line to Shift Lead.

Basic and routine aspects of operating thermal equipment (i.e. kiln) at the plant level scale. Required to maintain a clean work area and be knowledgeable of and adheres to all established environmental, health and safety procedures and policies. Required to work a 12hr shift on a split week schedule. Perform and Document routine process checks to ensure OEE, maintain autonomous maintenance responsibilities, ensuring systems are operating within parameter for the purpose of identifying early indications of trouble or failure. Perform routine Raw Material/Finished Goods Quality and Environmental Checks. Maintain electronic database of results. Load Raw Materials, Package Finished Goods according to Product Setup Backfill operator positions during employee absences, vacations etc.
