Production Trainer

Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Production Trainer to join our growing team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for production staff, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to maintain high levels of efficiency and quality in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in production or manufacturing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering growth and development in others. 

The following essential job functions are performed as the Production Trainer:

Work closely with operations directors, managers, and other departments to identify training needs and align training efforts with organizational goals. Coordinates necessary training activities for the various areas and buildings. Assist in the management of tracked training and employee training records to ensure all elements remain current and valid. Trains technicians on a variety of manufacturing processes at workstations and in the classroom, including, but not limited to documentation handling. Design and implement training curricula tailored to production processes, equipment operation, safety protocols, and quality standards. Deliver hands-on and classroom-style training for new hires and existing staff to ensure all employees are proficient in their roles. Evaluate technician’s skills through assessments and on-the-job observations, identifying areas for improvement and providing additional training where necessary. Collaborate with production supervisors to create and standardize work procedures to improve efficiency and maintain consistent quality across all shifts. Keep detailed records of all training sessions, employee progress, and certification renewals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide ongoing support and coaching to production staff to help them meet performance goals and adapt to new technologies or processes. Ensure that all training programs adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Continuously assess and update training materials, methods, and delivery to reflect best practices and the latest advancements in production techniques. Promote versatility among employees by encouraging cross-training in various production roles, increasing flexibility in workforce deployment. Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. Technical or College degree preferred. Previous experience as an SME with demonstrated ability to train others preferred. Prior training coordination experience preferred.  Experience tracking multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. Ability to communicate across departments. Excellent Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word skills.   Strong time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of training methods and techniques. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Wage range for this role is between $20 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
