Your Opportunity as Production Utility 1
As a part of the Hostess Plant Production Team, you will be responsible for several production bakery activities. You will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, communicating, and working effectively in a team environment . Roles and responsibilities will include Pan Setter, Feeder, Packer/Carton, Packer/Cases, Shipping Stacker, Handler, Sanitor, Receiver, Palletizer.
Location: Columbus, GA Bakery
Pay: $19.51 per hour, shift differential $.50 per hour
Work Arrangements:
100% on-site, 3rd Shift, 12-hour shifts 6 pm to 6 am, rotating days, average 3 days a week
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as needed, including weekends
In this role you will:
Works as a helper on a production line in various roles. (i.e., Helper, Indexer, Feeder, Packer, Catcher, etc.)
Will perform various assigned manual labor tasks to: grasp, lift, move, place, and stack items relating to the production processes assigned.
Feed, catch and monitors continuous / repetitive steps on production line.
Support quality control programs and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures
Visually inspect product to ensure procedures follow best practices for food safety and quality standards.
May assist with cleaning and sanitation of equipment and environment pre- and post-production.
Reports all equipment issues to the supervisor as soon as possible.
Understands and complies with all safety procedures that apply to daily operations, example; follow proper lock out/tag out, wall prevention, required PPE, etc.
Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, coworkers, etc.
May perform other duties not listed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Ability to work night shift schedule.
Ability to rotate workdays throughout the week including weekends,
Proven track record of good attendance.
Capability to work well in a team environment and be willing to help solve problems and implement solutions.
Willingness to flow to the work to meet the needs of the business.
Additional skills and experience that would make someone successful in this role:
Previous safety training.
Excellent communication skills.
Prior food manufacturing experience and familiarity with bakery equipment.
Tools and Equipment: All tools and equipment which are required to be used by the employees shall be supplied and kept in repair by the Employer at no cost to the employee. These items must be kept on the premises.

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be high.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to talk and hear.
Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently.
May push and pull heavy trash carts, dough carts, portable equipment, and catch pans.
Exposure and sugar dust, refrigerants, and chemicals daily.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
