Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our team on the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting automotive component parts, trimming and packing them, and completing necessary paperwork for defective parts.
ResponsibilitiesInspect automotive component parts for defects as dispensed from the injection molding machineInspect 50 parts per hour, with each part weighing under 5 lbsWork with 1-4 other operators on the lineTrim components parts if necessary and prepare them for packingPack component parts according to packing specificationsAssist with material changes as neededComplete paperwork for defective partsEssential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED1 year of manufacturing experienceExperience standing for 10-12 hours at a timeExperience using hand tools such as hammer, knives, and screwdriversAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with production, manufacturing, production line, hand tool, assembly, industrial, machine operation, power toolForklift experienceWhy Work Here?
This is a contract-to-hire position offering a structured pay increase upon direct hire and after one year. The company has a stable workload booked out until 2027, providing job security. The work attire is flexible, allowing shorts and t-shirts with closed-toed shoes in the summer, and no steel toes are required. As a tier 1 supplier to Ford, the company offers a reliable and reputable work environment.
Work Environment
This is a non-climate controlled environment that is very clean and bright. The 1st shift operates from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, 2nd shift 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, 3rd shift 10:30 pm to 7:00 am, with a .75 shift differential, Monday through Friday. Currently, the team is working 6-7 days a week but expects to reduce to 6 days a week after machine repairs. The pay rate for this position is $19.78 per hour.
