Production Worker

Come see what Primal Pet Group all is about here (https://primalpetgroup.com/) Job Summary This position is responsible for performing production work in our Montrose, facility.  Preps, packages, insert products into bags/ boxes, adheres labels, cleans, and inspects products to ensure high quality and compliance with company standards and procedures. Must be able to rotate at least every 2 hours at each of the production machines and locations as needed. This production worker  plays a pivotal role as the main point of contact for all ERP-related matters, ensuring the accuracy and completion of work orders, coaching and training team members on ERP usage, and facilitating inventory adjustments and improvements. Based in Montrose, CO , this role collaborates closely with the plant management team including the production Manager, FSQA Manager, and the Warehouse Manager and the site Director to maintain the functionality and relevance of the ERP system. Responsibilities and Duties + Startup and stop equipment. + Assist with production. + Cleans production area. + Sweep, mop, and remove debris. + Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies. + Feed or place items onto equipment for processing. + Measure and pour ingredients. + Ensure conformance to specifications. + Turn valves to regulate the flow of liquids or gas. + Mix ingredients. + Mark parts for identification. + Place equipment on a conveyor belt for further processing. + Scrape waste material from the machine. + Record data. + Load and unload processing equipment. + Package finished products. + Pour materials into machine hopper. + Take instructions from supervisors. + Efficiently and safely move product to the proper area for use following all department and QA procedures. + Sorting, wrapping, packing, repacking as needed. Transfer finished goods pallets to the holding freezer. + Return raw materials, WIPs, or packaging materials to the respective department or location in accordance with the department's procedures for receiving and returning materials. + Proper housekeeping throughout the shift and in all departmental areas. + Other duties as assigned + Punctual and Regular Attendance Required + Review open work orders daily to ensure accuracy and completion. + Verify consumption to ensure correct issuance of ingredients. + Execute movement transactions in the ERP system for inventory adjustments. + Generate variance and yield reports to validate work order completion. + Correct work orders as necessary to ensure accuracy and full completion. + Train staff on ERP processes and procedures. + Provide support to other departments as required. + Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills + Less than high school education; at least 3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences. + Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide and understand percentages.  Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement and quantity measurements. + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand and walk, use hands to feel, and reach with arms. Occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. Required to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Additionally, you must be able to lift and or move more than 50 pounds with assistance.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision. You will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, wet environment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
