**Job Title: Production Worker I**
**Job Description**
A manufacturing company for premium labels is seeking a Production Worker Level 1. This role involves operating manufacturing equipment to produce rolls of material (labels) according to specifications, checking for print and seam quality, and handling rolls to avoid damage. The Production Worker I also records and enters data, participates in special projects, and performs other duties as assigned.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate manufacturing equipment to produce rolls of material (labels) and position them as per specifications.
+ Continuously check for print and seam quality.
+ Remove defective material and splice the roll web back together as per specifications.
+ Utilize tools such as a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during the splicing procedure.
+ Handle and palletize rolls to avoid damage.
+ Record and enter data on designated paperwork and in the company operation system.
+ Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to figure label counts and conversions.
+ Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
+ Proficiency in using simple Windows-based applications.
+ Specific vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
+ Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (able to pass a ruler test).
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to read and understand a job ticket.
+ Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities.
+ Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions.
+ Ability to stand and move around the production area for long periods of time.
+ Physical ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Printshop experience helpful, but not required.
+ Ability to communicate and interact well with others.
+ Assertive and solution-focused.
+ Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.

**Work Environment**
Our manufacturing site employs over 150 people and features loud machinery. Safety gear including hair nets, beard nets, safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel-toed shoes are required. Jewelry is not permitted. Work shifts include AM (7 AM - 3 PM), PM (3 PM - 11 PM) Monday-Thursday, with a new schedule starting November 24th: Day (5 AM - 1:30 PM) Monday-Friday, Swing (1 PM - 9:30 PM) Monday-Friday, and Night (9 PM - 5:30 AM) Sunday-Thursday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, California.
