Production Worker
**Job Title: 3rd Shift - Production Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Production Worker to join our team. The Conventional Business Unit operates on a Monday-Friday schedule with overtime scheduled as needed. The Extrusion Department's 3rd shift starts Sunday night, while the Packing Department starts Monday night. The Pull and Pack (PNP) department operates on a 7-day rotating schedule, allowing for every other weekend off. The Hand Stacker is responsible for ensuring cases of products are correctly packaged and stacked on pallets. The Board Feeder is responsible for feeding boards into the Extruder and handling extruded candy. Both positions require adherence to safety procedures, GMPs, and company values. **Responsibilities** + Inspect and hand stack cases on skids or mods using stacking patterns as a guide. + Shrink wrap skids from top to bottom, ensuring shrink wrap does not sit on the floor. + Notify Operator/Supervisor of any problems or concerns. + Prepare and clean the work area. + Monitor, troubleshoot, and replace tape on the tape machine using Kevlar gloves. + Feed boards into the Extruder end to end, ensuring no gaps or overlaps. + Remove full boards of candy from the Extruder and place them into racks, inspecting and discarding imperfect candy. + Disassemble/reassemble and clean Extruders following safety procedures. + Perform screen checks as required. + Provide relief crew coverage, including cleaning washrooms, extruder screens, and general housekeeping. **Essential Skills** + Understanding of all lockout procedures + Proficiency in English + Good time management skills + Ability to work independently and in a group environment + Ability to identify damaged or dirty boards/candy + Machine disassembly/reassembly skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Good interpersonal team skills + Good written and communication skills + Proper use of required company-issued uniforms, ear plugs, bump caps, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and slip-resistant safety toe shoes + Understanding and adherence to product requirements + Participation in stretches before and during shift + High School Diploma or equivalent + Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing experience is a plus) **Why Work Here?** We offer an excellent work environment, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth. The position requires the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols. The role involves repetitive use of hands, wrists, arms, elbows, and shoulders, as well as lifting and moving weights up to 63 lbs.
