**Job Title: Production Worker I** **Job Description** A manufacturing company specializing in premium labels is seeking a dedicated Production Worker Level 1. The role involves operating manufacturing equipment to produce rolls of material (labels) according to specifications, ensuring quality control, and participating in various production-related tasks. **Responsibilities** + Operate manufacturing equipment to produce rolls of material (labels) and ensure they are in the desired unwind position as per specifications. + Continuously check for print and seam quality. + Remove defective material and splice the roll web back together as per specifications. + Utilize tools such as a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during the splicing procedure and as necessary. + Handle rolls and palletize them to prevent damage. + Record and enter data on designated paperwork and in the company operation system. + Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to figure label counts and conversions. + Proficiency in performing operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. + Ability to use simple Windows-based applications. + Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. + Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (must be able to pass a ruler test). + Effective verbal and written communication skills; must be seen as a team player. + Ability to read and understand job tickets. + Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Printshop experience is helpful but not required. + Ability to communicate and interact well with others. + Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities. + Physical ability to stand and move around the production area for long periods of time. + Physical demands include standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, talking, and hearing. The environment includes loud machinery, requiring the use of a hair net (with hair up), beard net, safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel-toed shoes. No jewelry is permitted. The shifts are as follows: AM Shift - 7 AM to 3 PM, PM Shift - 3 PM to 11 PM, both Monday to Thursday.
