Production Worker- Sub Assembly

Summary

Assembly positions are responsible for pulling materials based on provided picklists identifying inventory descriptions, locations, and quantities. These items are then assembled per prints and/or documented work instructions providing sequence and key specifications related to the product. Items are assembled utilizing hand or pneumatic tools including impacts, wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, wire cutters, strippers, torque wrenches, hammers, banding equipment, etc.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Convert parts to finished product Able to meet standardized production times related to product being produced Monitor part quality and identify rejects Maintain clean, organized work cells. Other duties as assigned.

 Requirements:

Read and understand work orders, bin locations, instructions, diagrams, and prints Provide and document accurate counts on completed items throughout day Properly store materials, tools, and equipment within work cells. Inspect parts before and after assembly for defects, surface flaws or imperfections Deliver assembled parts to designated areas. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by complying with organization standards and legal regulations. Ensures 100% on-time delivery by meeting established cycle times. General use of air and hand tools. Strong mechanical aptitude. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment Ability to use required PPE Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel throughout the duration of the shift Ability to work overtime based on business needs Able to lift up to 50lbs.

Forklift experience Prior assembly experience Experience working in a manufacturing environment Visually adept at spotting defects Communicate recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality.
