Are you passionate about books and detail-oriented tasks? We’re looking for  dedicated Book Processors to join our team! As a Book Processor, you will play a key role in maintaining the organization and integrity of our book inventory, ensuring that every title is carefully cataloged, processed, and ready for our customers.

 

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm, Friday 7am-Finish

key responsibilities Pocketer - Glues kits into books according to process codes. Sizer - Measures each book with a ruler and pulls a plastic jacket to fit each book. Inserter - Inserts dust cover into a plastic jacket, books without dust cover get protection tapes over the spine labels. Gluer - Glues or tapes jackets onto books according to process codes. Biller - Takes care of paperwork and checks the books for quality. Responsible to perform other duties of equal or lesser classification irrespective of required change in department, hours (including mandatory overtime) or work conditions as directed by supervisor. Responsible for regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas. Cross training and substitution of tasks that may be of higher classification as required by supervision. Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hour shifts and possess the ability to frequently bend and lift 35 lbs and up to 50 lbs occasionally and push book trucks weighing several hundred pounds. Must be able to work in a production environment that may be subject to varied temperatures and other conditions, such as noise (conveyor), dust and glue or adhesives. experience
