Winter Park Memorial Hospital has continuously served the residents of Winter Park and its surrounding communities for more than 50 years

Chartered in 1951, the hospital has grown from the visionary efforts of a handful of Winter Park residents and community leaders, to a 307-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness

Over the years the hospital has continually expanded to meet the needs of the community, adding an upscale obstetrics and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, cancer care at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Winter Park, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery and rehabilitation at the AdventHealth Orthopedic Institute

The role you’ll contribute:

The Manager is a bachelor’s prepared Registered Nurse who provides vision and strategic direction in conjunction with nursing leadership for professional development, clinical excellence, and Magnet recognition. The Manager sets strategic direction for the delivery of education, leadership and nursing staff development, nursing orientation and training, continuing education/continued competence and academic partnerships, in alignment with system education priorities. Collaborates with system education and leadership development to ensure effective and efficient use of educational resources. Accountable for the continuous quality improvement of nursing practice and professional development, aligned within the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Standards for Magnet and aligned within the Strategic Innovation Agenda (SIA) for AdventHealth.

The Manager follows all applicable nursing standards including the Florida Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA Scope and Standards for Nurse Administrators. The Manager adheres to, and is knowledgeable of, the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan, as well as the changing rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

The Manager actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts the privilege of maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (if bachelor’s degree is not in Nursing, must have an MSN)

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

· Master’s degree

· Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager experience

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Minimum of 3 years demonstrated leadership experience within nursing

· Minimum of 3 years of acute care clinical experience

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· Training and/or experience in leading research/EBP and PI projects

· Previous education or leadership experience preferred

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

· Current, valid State of Florida license as a registered professional nurse in good standing
