Job Summary
A professional registered nurse responsible for assisting the Director of Education and Professional Development in the management of the Department of Education and Professional Development, its employees and responsibilities. Responsibilities and accountabilities include but are not limited to: development and delivery of quality training and education to all levels of employees at HMC based on current standards of care, policies and procedures, and governing agencies; development and coordination of annual competencies; development, implementation, evaluation and modification of course curriculum; and review and management of course evaluations.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Bachelors in the Science of Nursing (BSN) Minimum Work Experience 4 Years Clinical Experience Required Licenses/Certifications Registered nurse (RN) in the state of Texas. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor within 6 months of hire to department. Specialty certification within 3 years of hire as approved by Director. Master's degree preferred. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Demonstrates a commitment to quality education as a methodology for promoting continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care and services. Present educational information in a professional manner. Organizes and completes educational records according to facility and governing agency requirements. Develops, reviews, and modified course curriculum and course schedules.
