Job Description

We are a multi-disciplined engineering, architecture, surveying, and environmental consulting firm seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to join our team. Our firm is dedicated to exceeding client expectations and fostering both personal and professional growth through active contributions to our team environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, budgeting, and allocating resources, and will serve as a project manager. This role includes the management of supervisory staff, recruitment, training, development, and performance management.

ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, budget, and allocate resources for projects.Manage and supervise other managerial and/or supervisory staff.Develop plans and objectives for assigned organizational units.Delegate authority and provide necessary resources to achieve organizational objectives.Write proposals and manage the budget process.Meet with clients and mentor junior staff.Represent the company positively and embody its core values.Perform boundary, easement, deed, and title reviews.Conduct detailed ALTA boundary and topographic surveys.Manage field assignments and schedule survey crews.Perform quality assurance/quality control for all field surveys.Coordinate client and contractor requests for land surveys and construction stakeouts.Calculate horizontal and vertical control.Essential SkillsProfessional Land Surveyor License (PLS) or Land Surveyor In-Training (LSIT).6 or more years of experience in surveying.Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.Field and office survey experience.Attention to detail.Self-motivated and driven to succeed.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.Professional Surveying License in Florida or Alabama or both preferred.Experience with ALTA, topographic, and construction staking surveys.Project management experience.Skill in managing projects.Work Environment

This is an office-based position with occasional travel to visit sites or clients, spending approximately 95% of the time in the office. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00
