**Responsibilities:**
+ Apply adult learning principles to educate patients, families, students, and new staff, ensuring smooth transitions of care.
+ Actively participate in quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities for clinical and service enhancements.
+ Utilize evidence-based practices and research to improve patient outcomes and care quality.
+ Provide holistic, relationship-based care, formulating personalized care plans and promoting effective communication across care teams.
+ Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient documentation to enhance caregiver communication and care planning.
+ Build compassionate, healing relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to improve satisfaction and outcomes.
+ Demonstrate accountability, cultural awareness, and balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being.
+ Engage in shared governance, support change initiatives, and contribute to enhancing the practice environment.
+ Continuously pursue professional development to improve patient care and advance practice standards
+ Education & Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience; BSN preferred.
+ Skills: Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities to provide age-specific, patient-centered care. Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment and operate specialized equipment.
+ Physical Requirements: Mobility, manual dexterity, and physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning.
+ Licensure & Certifications:
+ Current RN license in the practicing state or compact agreement state.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA standards) within 30 days of hire.
+ Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCM) training within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter.
+ UPMC-approved national certification preferred.
