6 South at UPMC Hamot is looking to add a Casual Professional Staff Nurse to our team! This 43-bed Cardiovascular, Renal Transplant, and Surgical Specialty Acute Care Unit provides post-op care for a wide range of patients, including those recovering from cardiothoracic, vascular, and gastric bypass surgeries. The unit also specializes in telemetry, oxygen monitoring, and offers care for kidney transplant and hepatobiliary surgery patients.
Title and salary will be determined based on education and experience.
Purpose:
The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse who sets the standard for care quality, providing direct patient care through independent judgment and collaboration with the healthcare team. This role is responsible for managing patient care and ensuring the best outcomes through leadership, partnership, and supervision, while also demonstrating a commitment to the nursing profession and community.
