As a Professional Staff Nurse, you'll lead high-quality patient care through collaboration, independent judgment, and teamwork.** **Responsibilities:** + Provide compassionate, patient-centered care using the nursing process and Relationship-Based Care model. + Develop individualized care plans that address clinical, social, and emotional needs. + Educate patients and families to support care transitions and improve health outcomes. + Foster strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, patients, and families. + Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving in patient care decisions. + Maintain accountability for professional growth and participate in shared governance. + Actively engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care. + Support and mentor new staff, students, and peers through education and guidance. + Balance work and personal life while modeling time management and wellness. + Identify and communicate safety concerns to ensure a secure care environment + Education & Experience: + 1 + years of experience + Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan. + Ability to assess patient needs and provide age-appropriate care. + Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. + Skills & Abilities: + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment. + Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues. + Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning. + Licensure & Certifications: + Current RN license or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) in the state of practice or NLC compact state. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year. + UPMC-approved national certification preferred. + Act 34 clearance required.
