About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environment Law team attorney to join the LexisNexis practical guidance team on a fixed term contract. The successful candidate will focus on reviewing, drafting, developing and maintaining practical guidance content including guidance notes, templates and checklists. The ideal candidate must have substantial practical experience in regulatory/compliance law and practice, e.g. in in financial crime prevention or data protection/privacy.
Responsibilities
Updating and drafting practical guidance on a range of regulatory and compliance issues.Keeping abreast of and analyzing changes to applicable UK legislation and regulatory guidance.Undertaking legal research on technical legal matters and drafting/updating templates in relation to aspects of law.Developing essential knowledge resources which will improve the efficiency of the practitioners.Stay abreast of legal and market developments, including monitoring of anticipated developments, relevant to our customer base.;Collaborate with external authors regarding externally written guidance and templates.; Work proactively and collaboratively with the other Practice Areas, especially those in the Corporate Crime, Financial Services and Information Law teams, and the wider business to enhance our practical guidance offering. Support the development and implementation of initiatives to continuously improve the group’s legal content.
Requirements
An admitted Attorney with a strong academic record with minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in regulatory law/complianceHave exceptional drafting, legal research, organizing and planning skills Able to communicate complex legal and procedural concepts and their practical application concisely, clearly, and in accordance with set house tone and style—in writing and using graphics such as flowchartsAble to work effectively independently and as part of a team, adopting a flexible, can-do attitude Be proactive, taking responsibility for continually developing and expanding areas of expertise, skills and knowledge Able pay attention to detail and a quality-oriented focus, and think creatively, multi-task and work to strict deadlines Be willing to engage with different forms of technologyExpertise and/or practical experience in financial crime prevention and/or data protection.Work in a way that works for you
