Professional Support Lawyer - Private Client
BCL Legal are working with a well-regarded national law firm to recruit for a Professional Support Lawyer/Knowledge Development Lawyer to join their Private Client department. This role will be based in Cambridge and there is a high degree of flexibility on hybrid working, with potential for fully remote work as well. In addition, the firm offers a very attractive salary and benefits package.
The Role: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced solicitor or an individual with equivalent qualifications to provide knowledge management and support to the national Private Client team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Knowledge Lawyer, overseeing key areas such as Continuous Improvement, Training, Research & Review, and National Profile to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the team in the development of efficient practices and workflows.
Contributing to pricing, productivity initiatives, and financial management.
Playing a role in innovative practices such as AI, data gathering, and legal technology.
Designing and delivering training programs to enhance the technical expertise of fee earners.
Capturing and sharing best practices, ensuring resources are readily available to the team.
Promoting and enhancing the firm's national profile within the private wealth sector through content generation and media engagement.
The Candidate: To be successful in this role, you will likely have:
A minimum of 5 years PQE in Private Client law or a similar qualification.
Strong drafting and written communication skills.
Advanced IT skills, particularly in knowledge management and information dissemination.
Extensive knowledge of private client law, particularly in the private wealth sector. Experience in contentious private client work, international law, charities, or advising business owners would be advantageous.
A passion for enhancing legal knowledge and skills across the team and for fostering an innovative approach to legal service delivery.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
