Responsibilities*

The University of Michigan Department of Urology is seeking to hire a fellowship-trained Urologic Oncologist for a faculty position in the Division of Urologic Oncology. This appointment would be at the rank of Professor and is on the University of Michigan Medical School Instructional Track. The selected candidate is planned to have 1 day of clinical activity per week consisting of clinic and OR. The position will include approximately 80% protected time for scholarship activities and robust Departmental support for an externally funded research program. The applicant must have a strong commitment to a career as a surgeon-scientist. Required Qualifications*

The selected candidate must have an M.D. or D.O. and be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible. Successful applicants will have completed urology residency and urologic oncology fellowship and will have at least 10 years of practice in an academic institution. The candidate must have attained the rank of Associate Professor or Professor and hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan. Evidence of clinical competence is expected. Evidence of extensive scholarly activity (100 peer-reviewed publications or more) is also expected as well as presentations at national meetings.
