Summary of Position
The faculty position is an instructional position directly responsible to the Director Gatesville SAC . The instructor’s duties and responsibilities are teaching students and performing a variety of administrative duties.
Minimum Required Education
Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required. Must possess a valid NRA ServSafe Certificate.
Minimum Required Experience
Five years of food service or industry-related experience required. Culinary team member and past teaching experience (hospitality and culinary-related courses) will reflect positively upon the applicant’s resume.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Must be punctual, dependable and have the ability to follow directions and proficiently complete tasks.
+ Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to interact with students during course lectures and food demonstration phases.
+ Must possess a basic understanding of the skills and knowledge related to all hospitality, culinary arts and baking related program courses.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Demonstrates skills in instruction and facilitation before large and small groups.
+ Demonstrates planning and organization skills.
