SUMMARY (BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB)Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Institute of Urban Care, responsible for daily operations of programs and grants management including community partners, oversight of budget, data collection, analysis and reporting. In coordination with leadership, handles identification, submission and operationalization of new grant and other funding opportunities. Leads project management for programs specifically related to urban and community health within the health system and out in the community. Uses public health informatics and science in developing, implementing, evaluating and improving policies, programs and services consistent with organizational strategic mission.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Master's degree in Health Administration or Public Health.

Experience: Three years’ experience in healthcare industry. Project management and data analytics experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Strong organizational, verbal, written communication, and data analytic skills. Possess broad clinical, healthcare, operational, and management skills. Knowledge of planning principles and practices.

Special Training: Demonstrated computer skills with query tools, and web-based applications. Demonstrated skill developing complex Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Outlook, and GIS mapping.

Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities:Ability to work on multiple projects or issues simultaneously. Ability to work independently or on a team. Capable of managing detailed tasks and apply critical thinking skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSUses information technology in accessing, collecting, analyzing, using, maintaining and disseminating data and information.Evaluates the integrity, validity and reliability of data with the goal of analysis, trend identification, and gap resolution.Examines the feasibility (ex. fiscal, social, political, legal) and implications of policies, programs and services.In collaboration with Executive Director, recommends, implements and evaluates policies, programs and services (ex. outputs, outcomes, processes, procedure and return on investment).Uses public health informatics in developing, implementing, evaluating, improving policies, programs and services (ex. integrated data systems, electronic reporting, management systems and geographic information systems).In collaboration with Executive Director, prepares proposals for funding, manages programs within budgets, and works with teams for the purpose of achieving program and organizational goals.Applies public health and evidenced based science in the administration and management of programs.Communicates in writing and orally with linguistic and cultural proficiency.Conveys data and information to professionals and the public using a variety of approaches (reports, presentations, email, etc.).Facilitates communication, collaboration, program development and evaluation among partners with the goal of improving health in the community.Collaborates in community-based participatory research.Develops, justifies, and monitors program budgets and collaborates with Executive Director.Performs other duties as needed.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
