Summary 

 

 The Program Accountant (PA) is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service to external customers and corporate and client services employees. The Program Accountant is responsible for the administration of customer accounts, including the consolidation of program data and collection of accounts receivable, along with account maintenance and ad hoc reporting. This position requires adherence to tight deadlines and involves a variety of accounting activities.   

 

Essential Job Functions:  

 

Administration of customer accounts, including but not limited to invoicing, collections, adjustments, customer service and working with clients to resolve outstanding issues 

Month-end close responsibilities including revenue/expense accruals, cost of sales, and expense tracking 

Manage accounts receivable aging and process payments for multiple clients 

Auditing and compiling account specific reports to ensure accurate billing and client specific information 

Prepare various financial statements and other internal or external financial reports 

Act as support liaison between client services and other corporate departments as it relates to administration of customer accounts and invoicing 

Support the onboarding and implementation of new clients and management of client specific billing arrangements (rates and procedures) and maintain compliance with these requirements  

Utilize internal tools and customer tools to support Client requirements  

Partner with Financial Analysts for respective programs to ensure data integrity and compliance in-line with customer specific audits  

Maintain general understanding of Statements of Work and amendments/modifications and incorporate changes for customer support, billing and month end close entries 

Manage the program bonus and commission process on a weekly basis 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

 

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate data of assigned programs 

Must be proficient with PeopleSoft Projects and Contracts, Concur, Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and Word), Oracle 

Strong analytical and deductive reasoning/problem solving skills  

Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills 

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and work ethic with an emphasis on customer service 

Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle and prioritize multiple tasks 

 

Job Requirements: 

 

0-1 years of relevant experience or college degree (Accounting or Finance Degree preferred) 

Associates degree or two years of applicable experience in customer service 

Four (4) in-office workdays per week and the option to work remote OR in office on fifth (5th) day
