Program Analyst

What You Will Do:

The selected analyst will support a large federal customer building a multi-billion dollar campus on Redstone Arsenal. The activities of support include analyzing the budget, supporting the organizations project management operations, strategic finance and looking for ways to use resources more efficiently. Help evaluate performance programs, analyze management policies for efficiency and viability, and help draft budget-related legislation. Identify budget issues which need to be addressed, notify management, and then make recommendations for new budgeting strategies.

The general responsibilities of the position are as follows, to include but not limited to:

Analyze data from financial reporting systems.

Support all management project governance practices by ensuring internal controls are met.

Provide support for any financial audits which may arise.

Provide financial analyses for projects.

Analyzes, evaluates, and assists in development and maintenance of program budget.

Monitors costs incurred, invoiced activity, and program performance.

Assist with business process documentation and standardization.

Help prepare monthly metrics reports, internal management reports, and external regulatory reports.

Help present financial data, progress, and performance metrics information for briefings and other presentations.

Research complex accounting issues and errors to find solutions.

Liaison between departments, as needed.


What You Will Need:

An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance.

High School Diploma, or GED

Three (3) or more years of relevant experience.

Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to process large quantities of information to evaluate costs, benefits, and project outcomes.

Demonstrate the ability to analyze and solve problems while being able to clearly articulate complex ideas and communicate clearly and effectively.

Ability to solve complicated math problems as the job entails the disaggregation of data to form recommendations for a project to run effectively.

Work with and understand spreadsheets, financial analysis programs and database functions.



What Would Be Nice To Have:

Experience in Program Level Budgeting & Financial Management (FM) Activities

Experience in Budget Forecasting

Proven experience managing a large facility operations budget.

Ability to manage multiple lines of budget execution and reconciliation activities.
